Nice. Telamon at 1:1 figure/man ratio is a daunting task so I applaud your decision to get the Gaesatae out of the way first.

Quote from Polybius

" The appearance and the gestures of the naked warriors in front, 8 all in the prime of life, and finely built men, and all in the leading companies richly adorned with gold torques and armlets. The sight of them indeed dismayed the Romans, but at the same time the prospect of winning such spoils made them twice as keen for the fight, but their small shields offered little protection against Roman javelins, and the Gaesatae were driven back and their allies slaughtered."

Thank you for the comments!
I have pretty much finished the Celts/Gauls for the time being. I have finished the Sarmatian Cataphracts for my Dacian force. I decided to add some bows (from Fireforge's  Steppe Warriors) to add a little ranged punch.
Hope you like them.

Hell yeah! Really dynamic sculpts, and you've crushed it with the paintscheme as well.

Thank you. I really enjoyed painting these. I wasn’t 100% certain about the horses in bronze scale as the riders are in chain armour but I’m pretty pleased with the results.
I have assembled all of my Dacians and should get them base coated soon.

Excellent use of those lurching warlord poses for chucking javelins.

Thanks, I really enjoyed painting the stripes, checks and tartan! The Dacians will be a lot more muted.

Excellent use of those lurching warlord poses for chucking javelins.
Shame really, the Warlord Celts were the main "go to" for ages but some of the poses are really odd. I added them to pad out the unit and don't think they look too out of place.

Slow going at the moment as work really has me tied up leaving little hobby time.
I managed to get some paint down on my Dacian Warlord and I'm pretty pleased how he turned out.

I probably won't be posting any NEW stuff for a while but I have been digging through my back-log to take some pictures. They wont be Ancients and may involve zombies......

Nice work on the Dacian Warlord.  Who makes him or what kit did you convert.

Looks like a mix of Gallic Cavalry kit with upper body from the Dacian kit, both by Victrix. That would be my guess at least.

My apologies for the late reply to your responses, they are very much appreciated. For some reason I totally missed these.
The Dacian Warlord is kit-bashed from a Victrix Dacian Noble and a Victrix Roman mounted general.
Hopefully I should be starting on my Dacian force soon (work permitting!!)
