« on: 16 July 2025, 05:57:32 PM »
Hi all, I wanted to introduce myself. I have just started selling a range of 28mm metal figures for the Jewish Revolt against Rome. Currently I have 13 models available, sculpted by Alan Marsh and cast by Griffin Moulds.

If you're interested please check  out the figures at: https://www.northwingminiatures.com/

We also have bundle deals with 10% and 20% off respectively:https://www.northwingminiatures.com/category/all-products

They look good. As a Jew I have always thought the Judean uprisings against Rome, perhaps knowing more about how they ended than started, were slightly uninspired and, looking at your lovely figures and how they are armed, it seems to me now they were deeply uninspired.

These models look great! And dealing with a conflict I haven't seen a full range for before, so props for that!

Splitters!! sorry, couldn't resist it. Lovely looking figures, suitable for many other conflicts as well.

Brilliant, I am glad that you like the look of them. I am hoping to do a small release this winter of a couple of characters plus some additional Sicarii (which I think would be great for a game like Gangs of Rome for example). Over time I plan to have a range that covers everything you would want for either the First or Second Revolts, as well as some of the smaller conflicts during the same period (for example, Herod's campaigns against the bandits, etc).

As for the names of the bundle deals, I couldn't resist at least one Life of Brian reference  lol

Currently the working title of my article is "Gangs of Jerusalem", which will include some rules for infamous "gangs" such as the Sicarii, as well as a scenario. I am also planning an article for this year's Lard Annual using the Infamy, Infamy rules.

I bought the sicarii, the lightly armoured guys and the civilians expressly for Gangs of Rome. I reckoned that even though my games will be set in the Later Republic when the likes of Milo, Clodius and the Gracchi brothers were around a Jewish gang wouldn't be out of place.
There are 100 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data.

I think the peasant rebels throwing garbage is my favorite. Do you think the guy with the roofing tile gets guaranteed hits against Epirote kings?  lol

Judean People’s Front or People’s Front of Judea?

It’s IMPORTANT!!!

Nice line.

:D Fantastic, once you get them painted up and on the table I'd love to see some pictures! And that's a great idea about the Later Republic, could be fun.

Well, the peasants are revolting so I thought it'd make sense for them to be chucking rubbish, haha ;D

Excellent reference by the way. The inspiration for the roof tile thrower was actually Ben Hur, even though he was, of course, falsely accused. That minis is one of my favourite.

My tile thrower will be Talavus the Guard, one of  the incolae from Gangs of Rome. Tiles, sacks, amphorae and stones are all available as missiles in Gangs of Rome. Tiles, sacks and pottery need to be represented on the table but stones or equivalent are always available in extremis.

By the way, if throwing roof tiles at an Epirote king I believe the "guy" will need a sex change.

Looking good!

I'll wait for the Judean Popular People's Front though.
