Who picked up Fighting 15s miniature lines?
« on: July 17, 2025, 08:32:54 PM »
Hey Gents,

I was looking at my 15mm Trojan War project and thinking about adding some more chariots. Does anyone know who picked up the old Gladiator line (Fighting 15s had it). Also, was thinking of a 15mm Sikh Wars project and missed the boat with those miniatures. Anyone know anything?

To add to the list of the fallen, here are a couple of American manufacturers that I used for my 1788-1792 projects:

Jeff Valent Miniatures (great Washington's War AWI minis) - Peter Pig and Essex fill the gap)

Falcon Figures UK - I contracted the 15mm 1788-90 Russo-Swedish War lines (Potemkin Russians vs. Gustavian Swedes) and Kosciouszko Poles/Lithuanians for the 1792/'94 Polish Partition Wars - there are some 3d printed Potemkin Russians in 20mm - pretty darn good miniatures if you like 3d printed miniatures; however, you'll have no opponents at present.

No word on them finding a home yet, here's hoping!  At some point, I may want more of the Galdiator Aztec et al. line.

There's a RAFM Closing thread that morphed into a general who's gone or where are they now discussion:

In short, no one, because I still own them.

I am sorting out the business, but it's wet weather work – and it's been nothing but sunshine and glorious weather for tennis, pickleball and gardening. I am, when I feel like it, transferring the stock from four different drawer storage systems into one, and then updating the site with remaining stock of the sorted codes. This is being done strictly in alphabetical order of codes, and I've got as far as E. Next up will be Feudals (Fe), Goths (Go) and Hellenistics (He). If the promised wet weather hits my drought-stricken part of the UK this weekend then I'll probably make some headway. :-)

Best wishes, Ian

Best of luck with that, Ian.
Mind you, if the Met Office doomsters are to be beleved (and they have a poor track record of being right) we're in for massive thunderstorms (with a lightning option!) along with the much-needed rain.

Well then, sounds like the retirement plan is working splendidly!

Alackaday, if the Aztecs, etc. range is already sorted and updated, then it looks like no extra Mayans miraculously appeared from the back of a drawer.

Definitely enjoy your retirement, Ian!

If you don't mind, could you keep us up-to-date on the sale of the lines when the time comes?

I'd love to do a 15mm Sikh War project and fill out my Trojan War armies with a few more chariot archers.   :D

Cheers from Poland!
