So what was your technique on painting rust on the car.  I have just received 8 of the Marx in blue, and I am trying to figure a quick way to get them all ready for a game coming up here soon.

Really excellent stuff, as usual. The Perry farmhouse works a treat, and those blasted trees are superb. A real bleak nuclear winter-type feeling.

Should be too much of an issue really, undercoat and successive drybrushing from the body colour through to metallics then onto the browns and oranges, a little wash here and there and you'll be done in no time.

for the weathering on the cars, i started out priming the car black, then painting a few base coats of the chosen color, like red, then washed the car with GW devlin mud, then stippled the car with scorched brown, up to orange if i wanted fresher looking rust,  drybrushed  a bit of sand color dust on just to weather and match the basework, hope this helps!

lol! It just isn't going right for you today ;)
But on the real topic, they look really good, is that a female SWAT trooper standing in front of the billboard? If so where did you get her, I've been looking for something to maybe convert into Motoko from Ghost in the shell.

EDIT: just realised that wasn't your picture but one from the old crow site - doh!

Hi there!

I'm brand new to this forum and this is my first post. :)

Those are some great pieces, Major! Here's my version of the same 1800's farmhouse - just a little more delapidated:

The broken chair and shelves out the front are from JDLuck's store on Ebay.

Some of the wooden board walls have been replaced by Wills plastic card and I've used balsa wood for most of the extra wooden beams.

The Bikers are from Copplestone Castings.

finished these this week, hope you likey! the house is the perry civil war farmhouse, looked suitable for the wastelands, modernized it with a few bits, the car is a marx plastic, i think my neo soviets suit the scenary as well, for a neo red dawn type scenario??
