I'd rather have some of them as molds to make greeblies with...  lol

Given that you can 3d print actual figures and terrain, I sort of don't get how this isn't just a waste of resin? Using them as masters to make moulds from is one thing, but a bag of misprinted parts/miscast would be just as useful for practice.

Can't say I understand what this is. But seeing its Volume 2 I assume there is a market for it.

it's for drybrushing, essentially something you can test has just the right amount on before committing to the model proper.

I am also a little bit perplexed. If I had a 3D printer, I would just practice on an actual figure. That’s actually basically what I do anyway without a 3D printer - if I am starting a project or or using a technique I’m not already familiar with, I test things out on few low-value “mook” figures. If Private Mook and his pals turns out, cool, they are the vanguard of the new generation. If not, it might be frustrating, but no real loss, they’ll get a bath in the paint stripper.

The only time I might use a test template like those is if I was working on a model that is unique within my collection. Even then I probably would just dive in and paint the actual figure.

I did print a free drybrush palette with my FDM printer and that works perfectly to get your brush to the right paint consistency. But these "practice palettes" seem a bit moot. I'd rather practice and paint actual miniatures lol

If you have some experience painting then you probably don't need these. I'd think these might be aimed more for the novice painters (or parents of said novices) as a way of gaining experience without sloshing paint at increasingly expensive high-end figures (I think we all know whose they might be!).
