New Kaiju Terrain Board build, for all sizes kaiju

Actually an older board, I fixed up, a Monster Island headquarters plateau or island itself.

Since kaijus can be expensive and all sizes, and I hunt and peck for bargains, I have a larger 7" kaiju vs 6mm troops, 4" gashopon vs 6m troops, and 2mm troops/vehicles vs little 2 and 2.5" cheapy kaijus. 

Gonna dry brush and flock it after rains. 


Some mountains are hollow/lift off peaks with doors, panels and stuff for science bases.

Yeah, I agree, it looks good. I can imagine it being fairly versatile, too - add some roads and buildings and you have an attack on a city suburb, or keep it as it is and add some palm trees and it’s a monster loose on a tropical island!

I have always been a "Monster Island" guy, from Firefly games.  I love the wide open specs for basing (a unit is a unit, be it 4 6mm figs or a hundred 2mm ones) and you add things easily:

 got a deal on some old 40k epic Orks?  Throw em out there!  Wow!  GODZILLA MINUS ONE!  Add minesweepers and cool weird WWII fighters and stuff.

The most versatile, and the most realistic (our games play like Godzilla movies) IMO

Shame the rules are forgotten.  You can get the core for free online and every supplement for under 10 bucks total.

When you get sucked into kaiju...., probably the top genre for me getting friends to wargame.     Japanese girl, pro level tennis player, started playing when she heard she could sing the King Ceasar summoning song, and she did it (and also brings me gashoppons from Japan that would cost 50 bucks on ebay!!!)

I have a similar project and it’s very slow burning. My table will be a city constructrd from Monopoly City playing pieces.

Your board looks superb! And as a piece if advice the gashapons often look way better with a good quality wash (GW, Army Painter) and a quick, very dry drybrush (in gray) over them.
