Italo-Ethiopian War pics & suppression counters
« on: 28 December 2009, 08:44:07 PM »
I've added some new pics of my 28mm 1930s Italo-Ethiopian War stuff at:

http://wabforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=6897

New shots include Askari LMG, a truck for the Italians and Mahel Safari for the Ethiopians.  They also include my newly made suppression counters for T&T.

Most excellent work, James! I really like the Ethiopian officers, and those counters are very nice - great composition, and not cluttered.

Very nice pics indeed. Great conversions and a smooth paintjob there. I agree that the officers are really cool. And the supression markers are a nice change from dice or other tokens.

Nice work. Especially the conversions are inspiring.

There is a Fiat truck from Sloppy Jaloppy, which would be fitting for the theatre of war.
But from DeBonos account we know that the Italians bought foreign trucks in 1934/35 to become more mobile.

Hopefully you get the chance of adding this things to your superb article in WI.

Cheers Alexander

Very good work James!

Also I noticed the Gondrand marker on the truck... nice touch (FYI Gondrand is  company specialized in bulk moves and famous for losing stuff!)

Thanks!  I'm glad you appreciated the Gondrand stencil...I based it on the photo in the Opsrey book where Blackshirts are shown disembarking from a Gondrand truck.  Does Gondrand still exist then?

Great stuff!  And that is a really neat genre.  I want to play some Adowa   gaming, a bit earlier than your game, but still the same spirit.
