Viking Runestone
« on: January 06, 2010, 10:40:07 AM »
Thought I'd share this viking picture/runestone (actually, there's no runes on it  ::)) I based up the other day.  It's for a fantasy skirmish project I'm currently working on, though of course would work equally well for Dark Age shenanigans.  Apologies about the pic, but given the current lack of sunlight I had to take it under artificial light so there's a bit of glare...

There's a quick tutorial (not that any of you really need it...) on how I went about it on my new and completely unnecessary blog.

Very nice, and the tutorial was interesting too. I am a sucker for all things Viking and may have to get some of these for myself.

Cheers,

That´s a superb terrain piece, most useable for any period, even imaginable in America!

Very nice.  I expected to see assyrians rather than vikings, given the style, but still, really nice.

Thanks for the positive responses  :).

It was a pleasure; a really easy piece to paint up and, as I point out in my blog, the detail is fantastic.  I can see this piece getting a lot of gaming use!

Good luck in 2010.

Cheers chap!  Same to you.

Right, I'm off to make a snowman (in the dark).
