Painted: Atomic Diner & The Reststop
« on: 09 January 2010, 06:54:27 PM »
Inspired by Grimm's Tactica setup (and to prove to Vyper and Akula that I do actually paint something every now and again ;)), I've had a quick go at a couple of buildings for AC57.

I've used a Plasticville Diner and an old Disney Cars playset that I've had knocking around for ages.

I'm making a big order to Brigade next month, so I'm currently using what minis I have - but they may do as squads anyway: The King makes an appearance (just coz); Mad Scientist Dr Price and his Flyboys; A MIB; and The Family, including Momma the Bloater Zombie - those good old boys just can't put Ma out of her misery... These have been painted by Dags or Mark Dixon over the years.

The cars are from ebay. I've used a Disney Cars Buick, but I prefer 1:43, so have a couple of alternatives on order. Still some work to do on weathering the truck and general junk behind the rest-stop, but it's getting there.

The King

MIB

Dr Price and His Flyboys

Ma and the Boys

Giant Spiders - NEW
Prof inspired me to dig out my old Citadel spider! The paint job isn't as bad as I thought, but he needs freshening up.
However, he works well with the Copplestone Giant spiders I have.

VERY nice!  :o

I'm loving all the great figures and terrain being shown. I wish I had time to work on some of my own.

yeesh sorry Prof - I got the Ford from Ebay a few years ago, it's a 53 Pick Up, but has no other manufacturers marks on it I'm afraid.

The Momma Zombie is from Studios Miniatures - Mob 2

Thanks.  I've seen it before but not the face that close.  It does look like Vincent Price.
