How do I reduce or increase grades
« on: January 23, 2010, 01:41:22 PM »
Hi All

I want to make a grade 1 servant but the arctype is a grade 2 How or what skill do I reduce for that ?
Or could I use the driver who is grade 1 and then take the skill's from the servant list instead of the drivers list

Thanks
Albert

You got it. Don't take the rules as THE LAW. Use common sense and the rules more as a kind of hint how to do things. You want to tell a story with your game not celebrate rules.

I'd use the driver and replace driver with the necessary skill.

That is the BEST way I have heard that said. And believe me, I have tried to say that in so many different ways.  :)

As long as what you are trying to do is not power game, but instead create characters that fit the theme, then you should make whatever changes you deem necessary. In fact, if you look through the scenarios in the books, you can probably find examples of places where I changed the rules because of the scenario.

I frequently disregard Morale rules for all but head and torso shots because I like to run games that move a little quicker and give the players a bit more control.
