A few odds and ends from The Commander: Something random from the Leadpile.

You ever have one of those 'I fancy painting 'THAT' moments, which adds nothing to your project lists but is just fun to do?

Well....

Pigiron ferral with a maximini resin full face gasmask head. Really like the way the gasmask has come out, depth and shine created by basecoat of red, layer highlighted at the edges with a cream (yes cream), then successive glazes with TCR followed by badab black and baal red GW washes. A few white dots and brush lines under the glaze and it 'almost' looks like there's a face under their.

Usual rubbish pics but there you go, (flash killed it no flash too dark. Will complete base later this am and take another one in the cabinet as that is much better lit):





Also built my marauder APC, headswop of Blackcat games ghoul mancover marker, (Westwind zombie head), another ferral using a Westwind SoTR russian gasmask helmet) and undercoated a shed load of barrels and scenery stuff from Fenris, oop Bob Olley and privatee press.







So a productive Saturday afternoon/evening. Hope to paint the zed marker and second ferral later today.

No problems, remember that the heads are not Pigiron (this time, suppose it's fair as I've used them on everything else of late! , but the ferrals make for nice post apocs too. Second one almost done, looks really nice too will post up in a hour or so.

Yeah, I know. Already eying the head pack and the steam knights one as well. I like that they will put which ones you want in rather than a random assortment if you ask.

Last two pigiron ferrals, one with westwind SoRT german head and the other with a resin gasmask, (with lovely green OLS lenses) from the polish company Maximni.





The little 'busive grey that I won from Jo at Blackcat bases recently on ebay, (Excalibur figure from Germany I think) and the zombie sewer spawn point, (Ghoul head removed and SORT zed head added.

Very nice - those ferals are excellent - love the various effects you've got with the visors.

The ghoul emerging from the sewer is great as well - might invest meself and change the head to a cyberman...

The little trick with the white paint and the glaze is fantastic!
