28mm Watermill using Total System Scenic buildings bits
« on: 24 January 2010, 04:35:16 PM »
I built a Watermill using various pieces from the Total System Scenic 28mm buildings range. I used 2 two-storey end walls, 4 single storey long walls and a roof along with one chimney and two attic windows. For the river I used a piece of my ArmorCast 3" river.

That's rather nice, Olivier.

I've picked up and looked at those (newish) TSS building kits a couple of times at shows. But they don't seem to always go together terribly well at the corners... I guess if you are prepared to spend time filling and sanding the joints, they'd be fine...

How do you find they fit together?

I was used to building the Arnica's montana western range and I must confess that I was a bit disappointed first. But you just have to find the right technique and it works rather well. I put some adhesive tape to bind the walls (with some superglue points). Once the buiding is in shape, I use epoxy glue to seal the corners (inside). Once it's dry, I put some putty ti fill the holes and cracks. It's quite easy.
