Funnily enough there's an article in this month's National Geographic about using bugs as food sources! Great work as always Thorbjørn, I think I might have to pay you a visit again and see if we can get a game of this before Horizont?

I made some "red butorg" - the invaluable spice that the Klakks from Dimension X and the Space Nazis are fighting over


Here are elements of the Klakk forces in battle. A cow beetle is trying to flee the horror of the advancing Klakks.

The middle part of the butorg detaches so that cyberfirebases can be fitted in the fields... I hate floating models on top of fields!

I'm calling it a day on this project now (bar the pipeline turns). I still need to do the actual boards, but I don't know how to do it best. I'm thinking perhaps just painting directly on a board might do the trick.


Overview of the board - The Glorious Røvede Space Colony


Wouldn't be Røvede if the sign didn't say so, now would it?


Another view of the colony. In a total copycat manoeuvre my players will be fighting over the little blocks of buildings you see. Although the Klakks won't lose if they take just a single casualty.


The whole spectacle has been quite a question of "using what I had handy". And thus I had no clue how it would end up... the "hills" I've added are a good example of this. The guy I was doing it all with seems to have lost interest, so I had to come up with a way of covering a lot of board, and without having to build loads of stuff by myself. (well in all honesty the only thing my partner in crime has is to cut out the pieces from cardboard.. I've glue, painted and so on.)

Hope you like it! I sure look forward to playing on it.  lol

That was part of the plan. The three compounds would have been linked by bridges over the pipes.
I wasn't meant to do that part though, but I will probably wind up doing it..

It might be easier to build tunnel entrances instead of walkways (just an idea, since time seems to be an issue).

Anyway, looking very much forward to hunt cow beetles on that!
