I'm not sure if this is in the same vein but I can't see the point in quoting an entire post and responding with one sentence. More so if the original post contains 5+ pictures... 

Just want to chip in and say this is a pet hatred of mine on internet forums. I've seen it done with 15+ images, and it's a real bugger. Such people should lose their right to access the internet. On pain of death. By shooting. Through the lungs.
Just my opinion, of course.

here a suggestion only partly related to the topic:
in another forum, I used to have a trade topic, the link to which was in my signature.
Every time I wanted to buy or sell something, I posted it into the original topic and changed the title
so I had only one trade topic and kept easier account by marking what was already sold or purchased

does that sound like a good idea?

I'm more against quoting loads of pictures. That's just pure internet-fail.
However, responding with just one word or sentence is fine by my. You can't really lavish an epic poem everytime someone does something that you like.
And still, if I wish to show my appreciation and support, I'll sometimes just write a sentence. Quality posting is a myth.

 Just noticed this post.

 I have to admit I have done this on several occasions  .The reason being I am not sure which genre to post in as they sometimes cross over.

 Some people only look at certain sections so would missout on something which might interest them.Will try to refrain from this in the future  .
