Great Pulp Robot
« on: 09 February 2010, 11:52:59 PM »
Gents,

Here is the Astroboy 'Peacekeeper' robot I picked up on sale at TRU for $2.50. I think it makes for a very nice large pulp robot. I'm going to repaint it and add some markings from whichever of my supervillians gets naming rights.

It stands about 3 3/4" high.

The gris is 1" squares.

Here it is with minis from Hasslefree, Artizan & Reaper for scale.

Enjoy

Good find, Almaric. I hadn't seen this one before. I have seen the other one, the spikey headed dude. Think it'd work well for a Japanese VSF Army, or perhaps something with an Eastern theme. This one seems very appropriate to Pulp.

Nice find.  I may have to get one and find a use for it myself.  :)

It has a similar look to the robot from the Judge Dread movie

That Robot was the only thing in the movie to resemble anything from the comics!

This is a stylish piece though, but almost too much! I hear there are smaller (unmovable) versions of this character available in 'dollar stores'.

I wouldn't mind chopping one of those up myself. :D

Is it heavy? ie would the postage be high?
