Hey Doc...please take pictures at Cold Wars. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend so I would love to see lots of photos of your creative works. Those spray foam cans are a great idea. I have often thought about using a can to do something similar. Will you be painting them?

Thanks and I'm hoping to get some pics in while the games progress.  Yep, next step is to plaster the entire table then use a mix of wood glue and sand to provide texture and render "Nigh Invulnerable".  Then on to painting.  I'm hoping to get to part 2 this weekend.

Very nice!  I've worked with Spray foam insulation before, with mixed results.  A couple of pieces I tried to cast came out looking like...... well Brain Bread.   ???

If you take a plastic fork or wooden stick, you can rough up the surface of the foam to give it a rocky texture.  However it sounds like you have a plan for both texture and protection.

The boards look good.  I too have attempted terrain with the foam insulation with generally poor results.  It's good to see someone suceeding with this material.  It has alot of potential, now to exploit it.
