Chinese bystanders
« on: February 14, 2010, 03:54:34 PM »
Tong from Obelisk Miniatures. I have wanted these since I first saw the greens and then never got around to it. Thanks to a trade last week I now have lots of them and decided to let them bypass the leadpile and get stuck straight in. Very quick paintjobs, they are only going to be scenery in the main and they may even get me to do some more work on my village - may ::)

Svenn;
Those are fantastic!! Nicely done. The colours look very realistic. I have been eyeing those figures myself for some time now. I just might have to make the plunge. Thanks for sharing.

They are gorgeous.

Luckily they are San Francisco inspired rather than Boxer rebellion or we'd be working out how to order....

Yeah, great colours Svennn. I meant to get these, and also forgot ::)

Would any of them convert into Kwai Chang Cain d'you think?

I want this to. But a Chinese setting is realistically a couple of years away.

They look GREAT!

Fourteen in around twelve hours including removing slotta tabs and weapons on a couple - not hanging around.

I have quite a few more still to do including some with head swaps to mix them up a bit.

"Kwai Chang Caine"?  None really strike me as suitable but I do get that vibe from some of the ones in hats. The smoking chap for one but not exactly the right pose. Headswap with a body from another range?

Unfortunately that is a picture from the internet printed out and used as a backdrop. I took some more pictures with it positioned lower that looked better but the colours came out naff.
