Making Smoke

Does anyone have suggested techniques for making flames, colored smoke, etc. to mark burning AFV's?  Thank you for any insights!

Synthetic type of cotton hot glued to a washer, strecth it out and fog it with black spray paint with dabs of red around the bottom is a quick easy way to whip some out.

here is my effort

First you need a quantity of
Black Felt
lounge stuffing
spray paint black
red paint
yellow paint (and brushes)
white glue

First break your lounge stuffing up and tease to desired shape

cut your felt into 1 cm squares

spray paint your stuffing black (but not too black)

glue to square

add red paint and then yellow for KIA vehicles and allow to dry (leaving some without paint to signify heavy damage)

Finally add too destroyed allied veh

cheers

I use steel wool:

Not perfect, but quick, easy, and durable.

I have made some flames out of bits of hotglue which I smeared when hot on a piece of plasticcard. After that I scraped them of the plasticcard and glued them onto each other.

I also make my smoke from steel wool which I paint black with some cheap hardware paint.

I hope I helped you a bit,

Thanks Gentlemen,

The smoky fires are great!  Instructions are clear and the visuals are effective.
