My BPRD are completely repainted Heroclix figures, originally available in a boxed set (also including a Hellboy, Jr. figure, and Captain Ben Daimyo). You can probably get them on eBay, or some online distributors may still have the set in stock. The main Hellboy figure that comes with the set is different from the one I'm using (it looks like it comes from the Hellboy II movie) but it has a very active pose and it didn't look right with the rather static other members of the BPRD so I substituted another, earlier Heroclix Hellboy figure to better match the rest of the team.

Really nice painting on both, but it's the variety (and, therefore, the fact that it HAD to difficult) of Hellboy and the Crew that decide it for me.

I have to agree with the prior posters. This choice is a really tough one to make. Excellent work by both contestants.

Good to see some Silent Death models.  Are they plastic or metal?  Maybe next year I'll enter.  I can crank out starfighters pretty quickly...  I'm anti greatest hits and nowadays my greatest hits seem to out number my new releases...

The Starfighters are all plastics from em4.  Look out for more in a few weeks.

I'm shocked that those are Heroclix repaints.
The heroclix stuff tends to have the detail mauled in the creation (if you've ever seen greens of those, you'll understand)

Well, that's the challenge...

Frankly, the Heroclix Hellboy boxed set sculpts were fairly well-cast for Heroclix (possibly a result of their being made as part of a special set, rather than as components of a generic, random box). Their factory paint jobs weren't that bad either, although of course I completely re-primed them and worked up from a black undercoat for the contest.
