Buildings from Empress Miniatures
« on: March 03, 2010, 08:59:15 AM »
Empress Miniatures has just released the first of a series of buildings that are designed for the SCW.

The items are made from high quality resin with any doors or windows from pewter.

The first is a factory unit. This has a simulated corrugated iron roof .

Secondly we have a small stables.

These buildings are suitable for many geographic locations and periods. For example the stables would be perfect for the Peninsular War.

Very nice.  I'll be having that industrial building as the centre piece for 'The Mombassa Brewing Company'....

Since the chimney is a seperate piece I think I can use them both for my 1796-7 Italian adventures. Extremely versatile and useful pieces!

I guess not a lot, it is suitably generic for much of southern Europe. I have seen some very similar, but ruinous buildings dotting the landscape of Andalucia though.

That factory building could work as so many things. Seeing it painted, it now reminds me of a Welsh methodist chapel!

It was made just as a generic small factory unit to support the range that Paul Cook had made for Anglian Miniature.
Sort of thing you would find dotted about in small towns and villages, could be an Olive oil pressing factory!!

I never managed to get the whole building range into production, big problems getting a reasonably priced and reliable resin caster.

There is a fantastic church to go with this range

Improbable.  There are no wailing sanctimonious types visible....
