Looking for a large 28mm mini w/ coat & tails
« on: 12 March 2010, 07:34:46 PM »
I'm in need of a unique miniature to use as the starting point for a conversion.

The ideal mini would be large/heroic 28mm, have an open coat with tails, no sash and simple vest or shirt.  The shirt/vest details will be cut away to make it appear bare chested.  It would have epaulettes and trousers tucked into boots.  Should have minimal to no kit or pack and hands away from the body for easy weapon swaps.  The head is unimportant as long as it won't be hard to cut away.  Pose is very important.

That's the ideal mini.  I'm willing to work with things that are close, but I'm not that talented.  Sashes and packs won't work.  Elaborate or puffy shirts won't either.  I might be able to GS the tails and epaulettes.

I don't care if it's Napoleonic, Victorian gentleman or old west dandy, as long as I can get it by itself or in a small pack.

I've found a couple that were close, but the pose was all wrong.

And one that might be right, but I just can't tell.

I'm hoping to end up with something that looks like The Duke of New York from Escape from New York. http://www.horrorphile.net/images/escape-from-new-york-frank-doubleday-isaace-hayes-1.jpg

Have you looked at SF5 in Kallistra's 28mm  Sci Fi range?
