@ BaronVonJ

You have to show me some pictures of your minis.

I also want to make some Steampunk conversions (in a few months,hopefully...)
Something like that Stormtrooper

And maybe also something like that, without the Star Wars theme

Most of its done, but the stormtroopers are holding me up. I can't decide to make 'em from scratch or modify. Copplestone's Glory of the Sun range has provided most of my rank and file.

can we see some pics of the copleted ones then?  :D
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Personally I think I would go for a First World war alternative myself, if only because by planes make for more interesting x wings and of course zeppelins galore.

The upcoming wargames factory sci-fi trench soldiers might be of interest to some here.

Cool! I'm working on the same thing, just in the Baroque Period

Would love to see this in action. Do you attend Recruits?

The figure of the Empire are based on Germans, the Rebels on British and French.

Better to have the British as the villains I think, the way Lucas did when casting the Empire commanders.

@YPU

WW1 would also be interesting, maybe some "CloneWars"kind, in my way.
So said, as the prequal, made afterwards, just like good old George... ;)

My X-Wing will be an Spitfire-Conversion influenced by an Crimson Skies Devastator, so you will have the typical Doublewings.

Also I keep the Project on a Skirmish level, so the X-Wing will be more an objective than an "real" wargear.

Good point! The star wars saga spans somewhere between 30 and 35 years, so much including an alternate version of both wars would make sense. Of course focusing on one part would also be smart at first, but it’s a interesting thing to keep in mind.

I’m not sure if you mentioned it, but what system are you using?

I thougt I will use .45er Amazing Warstories.
Alternatively Savage Worlds.

But I think I will make stats for both systems and try some games, to see which of them "feels" right

Uncertain if this would be of interest but I found a great X-wing paper model that's truly unique.  It's a biplane interpretation of the Incom T-65 that would compliment the retro-WWWII setting you are developing.   The link below is to the model's creator, other great retro SW ideas there too, enjoy !

Gladly, Comsquare,     If I'm not mistaken there was an actual experimental-variant Spitfire with a biplane wing arrangement, if for nothing else perhaps Google for prototype aircraft for some inspiration.
