Cap'n - gorgeous work as always.  In spite of all of the beautiful models, the cottage in the background really caught my eye.  Can you say some about your build?  I'm assuming it's scratch-built.  If so, can you say a word about the materials?  Particlarly for the roof and chimney.  I'm guessing the windoes are wire mesh?  If it's not a scratch-build, who produced it?

Thanks,
Jim

Lovely as always Richard, how many ECW figures have you got in your collection now? I think this is very disciplined of you as I tend to wargames butterfly far too much

Actually Jim, it's a cheap and cheerful ready-made, ready painted model from 'Conflix'. I'm sure you've seen them - there are several buildings in the range. This one just happens to have come out well in the picture!  ;)

Thanks Karl. I reckon I have around 250 figures, including 100 horse and 8 guns - it's taken almost 2 years, but I'm now down to the last few cavalry figures. I'm using the LPL to propel me into finishing the damn things! I must say, I'm supremely bored with painting horses now, having done 100 of them! Still, soon the collection will be complete, then I shall set up the full battlefield and shoot some pictures  :)

Beautiful work on the gun battery - rich, deep colours and fantastic detailing and shading (and a really nice 'scene' as well!)
