Trying to find Astronaut figures...
« on: 19 March 2010, 12:21:31 PM »

I am looking for some astronaut miniatures that I saw somewhere online a while back, but that I cant find now.

In style they look a bit like the Blue Moon astronauts with quite baggy suits, but they dont have bubble helmets like the Blue Moon guys have.

The helmets on the figures that I am looking for are integral and notably large.  They reminded me of an exaggerated version of the space suits in the original "Alien" movie.

I appreciate that this is a pretty vague description from a half remembered memory, but does it ring any bells for anyone?

I like the ERM astronauts, does anyone have them? Just wondering how they might scale with grenadier traveller 25mm figs.

I have seen them at shows before and they struck me as true 25mm minis in big suits. They have the bulk of being in space suits but dont look big for 25mm. I seem to remember they are fairly old scuplts so are pretty true to 25mm scale.

Sorry I cant be any more specific, I just remember not buying them as they were to small for my tastes, even though I really like them.

I have them, myself, and they are actually quite large.Compared to the GZG figs, which are true 25s, they are simply massive, and just won't work, which is unfortunate, as I'd hoped to use them as additional poses (since GZG seems to have completely lost all interest in 25mm). That said, given the bulk of their spacesuits, they -might- work as a unit in and of themselves, but I doubt they'd mix well with others.

Years back Airfix had a set of astronauts in assorted poses available, if you Google about you may such easy enough.
