Les Poilus
« on: 20 March 2010, 05:59:54 PM »
I just finished basing my 28mm late WW1 French figures so I posted a few pics on my blog (http://bit.ly/bepjF9) - mainly to show how the Scarab figures mix in with the Brigade Games ones.

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I'm afraid I can't help on that one.  My late WW1 collection is mostly Brigade with some Scarab and a couple of Copplestone Back of Beyond thrown in for good measure.  My early WW1 figures are mostly Renegade but I also have some Musketeer BEF although they don't mix with the Renegade as the Musketeer figures are a noticeably smaller (but nicer sculpts IMHO).

I may get some of the upcoming Woodbine French when they come out as they look pretty nice.

I did spot a comparison photo which might help: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3300/3430007201_fdb295ceba_o.jpg

Sizewise, I think Scarab and Great War miniatures fit well together. So far though, Scarab only do late war French while Great War only do early war French… Also note that, despite being approximately the same size, Scarab figures are far less "realistic" in their proportions and the details on them are generally exaggerated ( which make them easier to paint IMHO)

Here you have a Great War Miniatures French between two Scarab French… hope it help...

BTW very nice work on you army whisperin_al
I like them a lot! 8)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/
