Wow - great work, Froggy!  I'm fascinated by the idea of "wire wrap" skirts and dresses, though I don't know what it means.  Did you wrap the figs with wire and then smooth over the ridges with green stuff?  Sounds like a wonderful method for doing close-fitting clothes.  Genius!

I took 32ga wire and wrapped it around the legs and midsection, starting from the waist.  There was no greenstuff involved, except a blob between the legs to give me a positive slope against which to wrap - this also helped the skirt look like it was made from leather and not spandex.

I had to put a dot of superglue every few wraps, otherwise I would lose tension on the wire and it would show lots of gaps. 

This technique is easy(ish) as long as the part you're trying to wrap is topologically an expanding cone - if it ever starts to decrease, you have to pretty much glue each wrapping or else it'll slide down the leg to the knee.

Though I imagine that not making a blob between the legs would be a nice if you wanted more of a close-fitting "spandex" look.  I'm surprised by how smooth the finished result appears without additional putty work.  Very cool idea, and smartly executed!

The blob was more between and behind the legs - it was to create the form to wrap around.
