Searching for Samurai
« on: April 16, 2010, 05:18:39 PM »
Good evening, Lads and Gents.

As the topic says am I looking for some Samurai mini.
Should normally not be such an problem to find some, but I'm looking for figs in civil dresses and fighting poses, in 28 mm.

I know that Em4 makes some and also the Perrys, but who else?
I'm looking especially after guys dressed like the bald headed Perry Samurai.

http://www.perry-miniatures.com/sam43.html

Would be nice if someone can help me out.

Hilsen

Try Black hat miniatures, they have a nice range of figures wearing normal clothes. They are listed under 25mm but are the same as normal 28's. Sculpted by Josef Ochmann of Obelisk miniatures fame. I've bought nearly all the range.  :D Great figures.
Ray.

Perry's are excellent. Museum has some useful stuff and Kingsford has a small pack too. Corvus Belli has a man and a woman but they're taller than Perry's.

TAG (The Assault Group) has a good line of Samurai figures:

Dixon Miniatures has a venerable line of Samurai (I don't like their proportions, personally...):

There are also some individual Samurai figures in the Reaper line:

Hei,

thanks to all, really some helpfull stuff.
How could I forget the Kingsford minis, they make that nice Itto Ogami.

Oh, and I also have some of the Reaper minis, which I also forgot (the unarmoured one sculpted by Werner Klocke).

But I like very much the Black Hat stuff, and also the Museum goodies. :-*
And I also will try out some of the Dixon minis.

So, thanks once again, gentlemen.

Thanks again.

I remember the 7 samurai figs, I saw them once, but I like only 2 of them.

James, have you maybe a pic from that Disgraced Ronin from WestWind, never saw that guy.
The rest are all armoured, so out of interest (except of the woman ;)).

But none the less, thanks for let me know.

Nope, no pics on the website.
Also checked Battlefield Berlin but that of the Ronin is also missing.

So, if anybody has a picture of the Disgraced Ronin from Westwind, could he please post it?

Thanx
