The RAFM mini would be perfect but I used what was available at the time. After some hand swaps, Don Cherry and Ron MacLean were ready for Hockey Night in Canada.  It is the NHL playoffs afterall...

To D@rth J@ymZ: can you identify the minis you used?

The selection and painting is great and some of those minis have really grabbed  my eye.

Both entries are excellent, but Coaches Corner has won me over.

Lola and the cars are great, and the pulpishness of them would normally have won my vote, but how can I NOT vote for Hockey Night in Canada?

I mean, I can't stand Don Cherry, watch about 1.5 hockey games per annum, but I'm still a Canadian, dammit, and sometimes you just have to do what's right for Soviet Canuckistan, you know?  lol

The stripes on Cherry's suit, the freehand CBC logos on the backs of the tech & cameraman's jackets, and the look of the ice won me over, actually.

I remember seeing a Don Cherry figure somewhere but I didn’t remember where exactly so thanks for the info ;)

I like the details on the first entry (like the CBC logo) but still I voted for the second entry… that was an heartbreaking decision… I would have loved to say Go Canada too… Maybe it’s because Cherry’s not very popular in Québec? lol
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Aw, now I'll have the old Hockey Night in Canada theme running in my head all day!

A clash of Titans here. I'll not tell which entry I voted for. The themes for Both are close to my heart & yet I have never played either one. Although I have worked for "The Mother Corporation". lol

The minis are (from left to right, main photo):
* Strange Aeons (Threshold Agents II)
* Copplestone (GN13 Street Toughs)
* Um, not sure...(bitz box special  ;)  he's a kid with a hockey stick!)
* Copplestone (GN2 The O'Hare Boys) with hand conversions to make Ron MacLean
* Copplestone (GN2 The O'Hare Boys) with hand conversion to make Don Cherry
* Gangs of Mega City One (Vid Vulture with camera conversion)
* Copplestone (GN3 The Candy Kid's Street Punks)
* The Stanley Cup was in my bitz box, no idea of manufacturer, repainted

The ice, boards and hockey player were all scratchbuilt.  The hockey player has GW, Chronoscope, Void parts as a base and was bulked-out with greenstuff.
