Amazing new stuff from Antenociti
« on: May 05, 2010, 05:35:14 AM »
Amazing new stuff from Antenociti  :o :o  great stuff I am hoping that there will be some furniture like chairs coming in the future.  I have some of the older stuff that they make and it’s really nice. I can see future wars bunkers, starships and cities all about to get a makeover.

Yeah they've got some really nice stuff now. Does anyone know how their figures scale up next to others - Copplestone, Hasslefree, Infinity? Because there are some great looking models there (though I wished they'd have pictures of them all)

They're 32mm according to the release info I saw somewhere. I believe it was mentioned before that they were done to scale with Infinity.
So many projects..... so little time.......

I had a really good look at Salute, because I was hoping to get some to go with my Copplestone FW collection. They are wonderful sculpts - very finely detailed and with lots of character.
But they are extremely slender and elegant, and I think just plain small. I'd be surprised if they were 32mm - they looked tiny. I think they'd probably be compatible with Hasslefree, but not with Copplestone.
Gorgeous figures though.

From the Antenociti site

G.O.T figures are scaled to fit alongside other high-quality proportional “28mm” figures which in real terms equate to a figure eye-level of around 30-32mm.

i love the terrain they made for Salute (there's photos up on Matakishi's site), are there any more detailed pictures around?

Some of that terrain has this wonderful Mass Effect feel to it. I want it...

Oh, hey. There's pictures up in the tea house, now is there?

Hmmm... I think 'proportional' might be the key word here, Dean. These figures are very much 'proportional', and not the chunky style we are mostly used to. I think this is a good thing on the whole, but it does present compatibility issues - if these things bother you (and they bother me).

Check these out, from the man himself...

I took a few pics of the table too - I'll try to get them posted here this evening.

Those are some seriously good terrain items. I haven't been on much of a sci-fi tip so far this year, but these definitely open me to persuasion.

Not sure of the size or the sculptor but they look like sculpts by PF(I think that's the name) if so they would go good with Hasslefree and Zombiesmiths aliens.  I also believe they(PF) are the ones responsible for the new line from Darkson designs bounty hunter game that is due out in the next 10years or so.  I maybe wrong but they look similar.

Yeah, that's why I said they'd fit with the Infinity range. They'd fit with the 'style' of Hasslefree figs but they're definately taller. I couldn't use them on the same board as Copplestone though.

It was more the minis proportions i was meaning. I love the 'newer' scuplting style where everything is more proportional as opposed to the chuckier older style.
The guy who scuplted the Zombiesmith aliens (which are fantastic!) is the same guy who has scuplted the Darkson AE bounty aliens, which I'm still waiting for news about. It'd be interesting to see how they all scale up next to each other - Infinity, GOT, AE bounty, Zombiesmith.
Now got to work out how to build a decent modern scifi world rather than a post apocalyptic scifi world. Might have to watch appelseed, bladerunner and Ghost in the shell again - good excuse!
