Naps Spanish Female Guerrilla?
« on: May 10, 2010, 09:50:25 PM »
Anyone know of a figure that could serve as Teresa, the Guerrillero leader in the Sharpe books? Redoubt do one on horseback, but I need a dismounted version for a SP scenario. I figure there might be a candidate in ranges for Zorro, early 19th Century Mexico etc, so I've posted here.

Waiter, my soup is giggling.

I'd say conversion.

Brigade games have some Buccaneer Ladies. Maybe the middle one?

Not a bad suggestion - you could do a lot worse than that one.

Redoubt

Mounted:

Dismounted:

Don't know how I managed to miss the dismounted version, but it looks like she managed to stab herself the way she's lurching. I'm considering using this figure from Outpost:

Will need a bit of work on the gloves and boots, give her a sabre instead of the whip. Admittedly she's more buxom than how Teresa is described in the books, but I can live with that!  :D

Thanks for the help guys.

She makes Pammy Anderson look like a stick insect  :o  lol

Looking at how she's dressed in your photo references, there's nothing overtly feminine about her costume. She's not a particularly curvy lass, so the only really obviously female features are her face and hair. I would have thought any fairly small and thin male figure in the right sort of costume with a female head attached wouldn't look too out of place. You could always do a bit of plastic surgery with some greenstuff to give her a more female looking chest and maybe a little extra for the hips?

Might work and look more guerilla-like ;)

Thanks, but I've already ordered the Outpost Wicked Lady. Unlike Sharpe I prefer my women with curves! Plus my sculpting skills are rudimentary at best so introducing new folds and creases into shirts worries me somewhat.

I know this is an old topic but it is one that I recently looked into myself.

Try this figure - almost a too perfect fit for a Teresa model  ;)

I no  longer buy "over-sized  ;) 25+ mm" figures, but that is a near perfect representation of the character.

Gracias,
