Another Nerdlord from Heresy
« on: 11 May 2010, 07:07:50 PM »
Quote from: Heresy Miniatures
Hi all
My Tweeps and FB friends saw this a few days ago, but now the rest of you can too - it's another Nerdlord figure, but this time by Steve Buddle!
Steve saw the one I'd done and the one Kev did recently for Crooked Minis and decided he wanted to have a go at it too, since everybody else was and fortunately I was able to get him to do it for Heresy! It's the best one yet and really captures a lot more of the look of the subject than either of the other two, IMO.

You can pre-order him now (click the pic above to go to the pre-order page: he's underneath the Dragon, scroll down. AOL, etc users -  :whah?: - you'll need to refresh to get rid of any cached old pages). He'll be shipping 1st of June.

And yes, I've already pestered Steve for an Amy, he'll do it when he's got space in his schedule!

I really like this one (go figure)... a great pose...

I agree with Andy: thats the best version of the character so far.  Thats really saying something considering the calibre of the Matt Doctor figures so far.

Having ordered the Crooked Dice version (plus copper Amy) I find that I am not in the market for a second nerdlord one way or another.  Although once Amy decides to wear an outfit that isnt a kissogram/pyjamas/leggings-and-a-jumper I would probably be in the market for that...

A lovely miniature nonetheless.

Too many choices! We had to wait 5 years for a 9th doctor and we already have 3 11ths before the first half of his first season is over.

Eggs in one basket anyone?

Nice sculpt though, typical Buddle. Nice and smooth like I could paint it with me eyes!

It’s just a shame we don’t have any instances of this new Doctor crossing his own timestream and having multiple versions of Mr Smith in the same story.

Oh, wait a minute…

Worry not! I have two versions of the 10th Doctor (Malamute's and Heresy's) and two of BTD's 4th Doctors so I'm quite happy to have at least two no 11 lookalikes. I'm sure most Who gamers are at least as bad as me for buying several versions of the same Doctor  ;)

Likewise - already preordered the Crooked Dice one and am sorely tempted by this one...

... and 'spose I'd best pick up the other Heresy fella while I'm at it...  :D

yeah I was just totting up how much it would cost for a full set - don't suppose there's a multibuy for mix and match scientists?  ;)
