German Seebattalion artillery?
« on: 20 May 2010, 06:39:50 PM »
I have a question for you all, and while this is now officially a crosspost, as I have asked the question in the VSF section (so I apologize to any that fact bothers), but what exactly would the Seebattalion been armed with as far as artillery, if any, and can someone point me at manufacturers of said weaponry?

Thunderchicken pointed me at the Tiger Miniatures 7.7 Krupp field gun as a possibility, but I am still asking the experts what they think, because I am hitting a wall. Plynkes pointed me at some very cool links on an Axis History Forum, but my Google Fu is not taking me any farther.

Looking at pictures and photo,s. The German marine Field Battery (1 per German SeeBattalion were aremed with 6 x 7.7cm FK96nA guns the same as used by the Germans in WW1. Great War minatures make a good one but most of the pics i have seen show it without the gunshield. I am converting one at the moment. Pics to follow
