These are looking really beautiful - any pics of them on the gaming table and in action?  :D

This a wonderful project - I love the scenery pieces.  :-* I haven't painted 15mm in years, but this sort of thing makes me want to!

Just bought a copy of SOBH myself, and it looks like a great system.

Wow! This is great stuff. Keep it up.

Perhaps you could even do a small tutorial about the fencing?

Here's the first part of the tutorial!

starting from some balsa wood, brushed with a metal brush to highlight the woodlines:

i cutted the balsa in some stripes, approx 3 cm x 5mm:

some other strips, around 1 mm thick

glued together to make some 6-7 pieces long fences:

then merged and glued on some card support:

then I added some small rocks and some corn flour, for the ground

and now... waiting for the pva drying, tomorrow the second part of the tutorial! :)

Great stuff. Didn;t realise these were 15mm either! Even better!!!

Using the brush is a good idea, nice touch.

As for using them for Orcs drift, I might use them for mine! But then I need to chop off some shakos from some orcs and add pith helmets.  :D

Ah that must have been the reason behind that bottomless feeling of emptiness and lack that has haunted me since I picked up a brush...  ;D :D

Rob - think they'd look good for a "realistic" Orc's Drift!  ;)

Secon part of the tutorial!

I left you yesterday with unpainted walls. First, i glued some more "patches", to give a more variety to the different pieces:

Then a black primer and a rough brown coat:

for the ground, brown - to - white drybrush, to give an excessive contrast (good with the grass, imho)

then, for the wood, drybrush (not too dry) with orange, mixed with brown

finished with some white, for the aging:

then, the grass, to give the complete nordic-style orkish architecture.

hope it will be usefull to all you! :P

Wouldn't have thought of going that light with drybrushing the ground but you're right - goes really well with the grass.

What grass do you use - I like the shade and it seems very fluffy!
