Yes, but still, all I remember from school about the period between world wars was the great depression and Weimar republic.  I completely blanked on what else was happening around the world.


There was a movie with the actor who played the original Obi Wan Kenobi who played King Feisal of Iraq.  I completely forgot the name of the movie.  Feisal was ousted by the Ba'ath party who produced Saddam Hussein.  There's some interesting and meaningful history.

Germany during Wiemar. Loads of built up aggression, and some incidents involvining the guys who'd sport Hugo Boss during WW2. Should be loads of potential scenarios including Ukraine and France. Maybe a Bavarian uprising (i got a soft heart for skyblue and white) supported by the French?

I can hardly imagine another period with that many conflicts all over the world.
Yet I can also imagine another period I know so little about, because there was so much going on....

No kidding.  Yes, we were taught it was really one war with a regrouping in the middle.

I have pulp minis with SMGs (Thompsons, etc.) and in loosely WWII British and American uniforms.  For this reason, and the fact that I don't know enough about it, I'm interested in this period.

Yes, lots and lots and lots of stuff going on.  I just needed some key words and names/places/events to get started.  You guys are great.

South America? A military coup in Argentina in 1930, one in Chile in 1924, which led to a period of instability into the 1930's. The Gran Chaco War between Bolivia and Paraguay 1932-35 (an absolutely fascinating conflict).
