Cygnar Defender WIP, what next?

Okay here's a shot of my WIP Defender, I'm going for a late 19th century-style French scheme, and I want to know what to add.  I'm thinking Asurmen blue and baal red washes, followed by Devlan mud, but would a metal on the shoulder pads look decent or should I go with the standard gold?

I think Gold would look best.  Be sure to update with more photos to support my miniature-Pr0n habit.

White or Gold. I'd actually prefer the former.
