Hello, I'm a new member
« on: 31 May 2010, 03:17:16 PM »
Consider me a refugee from TMP.

I play 28mm Napoleonics, 15mm WWII and 6mm ACW.  A bit eclectic but fun none-the-less

Hello and welcome. It may not be obvious to you so let me point you to Other Adventures for discussing Napoleonics. ACW takes place in the Old West board.

By the way, why is everyone leaving TMP?

Let's be said, there was some ruffle there over the last weeks. And leave it at that. We don't want to have the discussion spill over here, and we certainly do not want to badmouth TMP and Bill.

Apart from that, welcome. 6mm ACW - now that should give you a sense of scale, I guess. And you could actually have gunboats to support your troops without it looking strange.

The rationale for joining this forum is due to some positive things I've heard about it from some other gamers.  The choice was based more on the potential for fun with the LAD rather than an issues with TMP, which has it's own ups and downs.

I do like playing 6mm ACW using the black powder rules.  I also have some 1/600 ironclads which look OK when sharing the same table top.

ACW in the OLd West board?  Very Sergio Leone'!
