Cogs.. which ones are these?
« on: 02 June 2010, 08:30:37 PM »
Guys, I'm looking for these bad boys in particular but can't seem to find Cogs from AT43 without swords. Any idea where these are from?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, these look almost exactly like the District 9 aliens! Great find, might have to pick a few up myself!

Thanks Comsquare. Perhaps they're variants. If that's the case I'd need to keep buying the same pack over and over to get the ones I wanted.  Yikes.  :?

I'm planning to use them for Bounty Hunter Droids but could do without the saw/sword figs.

Here's another set I'd love to get, but I don't think there are/were ever released. A preview only I suspect:

Saw some Cogs for the first time yesterday, they're big! For scale reference, those guys are mounted on 40mm bases and will tower over 28mm figs due to them towering over the AT-43 humans, which are a good bit taller than 28's.

Edit: I think the Oni Tacarms in the second pic are currently only available as part of the Oni army box.
So many projects..... so little time.......

You can find the guyin the middle in the "Oni Army Box", the Samurai of the Zombie TacArms
http://store.rackham-e.com/en/at-43/oni/army-box-oni

Not sure if they will be sold seperat.

For the Cogs you can also check the Army Box, they are the Sharpshooters, but seems equipped with slightly different weapons.

@B6 - You actually have a bit of a choice.

COG Gunslingers with Quantum pistols

Or even Sharpshooters with Quantum rifles

Unless you WANT to buy multiple packs to obtain multiple identical sculpts of T-regulator G27?

FWIW, he is barefaced rather than helmeted. ;)

/EDIT/ to fix my inability to post pictures.

My preference is for the COG Type 3 troopers.

Gunmen with Quantum MG

... and Gunfighters

Although they will tower over most Heroic 28mm figs, I'm planning to get a few boxes of unamoured Warmongers (Sharpshooters/Gunslingers) and armoured/jet-pack equipped Gunmen/Gunfighters for SG:U gaming goodness.  :D

As I'm too lazy to repaint PPP, they will retain their Day-glow orange armour.  ;)

NP - sometimes Super SecretTM access to AT-43 stuff is useful - that and having all of the Army Books in PDF.  lol

I haven't seen anything in the R:E release plan for a seperate unit box of ONI Alpha TacArm Zombies - you'll just have to buy yourself the ONI AB - complete with Sci-Fi Zombies and a couple of not too shabby vehicles for Resident Evil gaming. ;)

Gunmen with Quantum MG

I've got one to use as a District 9 mech, very nice sculpts, shame about the bendy plastic

I do like the looks of those!

I had heard that Rackham was going to do something that was basically 'Not-Locusts' from Gears of War as their new army.

Anyone know more about that?

The next race out for AT-43 are the Krygs.

The Kryg Army Box was scheduled for Autumn 2010 but as many workers in China went home during the recent WW financial slump (not just in the gaming industry) it is going to take some time to bring back the workers and re-fire the furnaces.

This "may be" a Kryg as it is similar to a small piece of artwork on page 56 of the Red Blok Army Book.

So far the R:E folks are keeping the "exact" nature of the Krygs under wraps.
