Pulp A-team
« on: 03 June 2010, 01:46:00 PM »
I'm considering the possibility to gather some minis and make an A-team pulp version.
What miniatures would you suggest?
I have seen the foundry Bteam but, even properly converted, I don't think they will work fine.
They don't look too nice and their weapons and outfit are too far from a pulp feeling.

The van maybe is the easiest part, i already have a Days Gone Ford van for the role.

Just some suggestions:

The tech guy: http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1182
The "face": http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1231
The older guy: http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1281
Barabaus: http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1660

I don't remember the original, but is this the sort of thing you're after?

Awesome suggestions Christian!  They all work, with a possible head swap on the Barracus - Goliath ganger head perhaps?

Great idea! I have a VSF version on my painting table languishing at the moment. Good fun!

Or the catachan plastic head with a mohawk?

VSF would be very funny:

For BA I would suggest an Artizan Designs US airborne Pathfinder:

The one furthest on the right.

indeed, great suggestions Christian, thanks!, seems like artizan would be a must see for this project.
In fact i was considering this set from copplestone

From left to right, first one would be Annibal (the old guy), second one "the face", the tech (murdock?), and MrT, properly afro painted of course.
The shame is the pic size, so tiny it's hard to say if the first guy cigar looks like an havano cigar, and the haircut of MrT could look like a "old style mohawk" as the pic suggest. Anyway those details can be easily fixed.
Gonna do a deep browse of the artizan site and look for the catachan sprue.
