That looks very interesting.  Is the first part taking place in the late 19th / early 20th century, with the second the modern day?  In the two trailers there was a bit of jumping back and forth between the eras it seemed.

Film has two parts, one in present time, when the character of Silvia Abascal has to make a study about the value of an ancient mansion (Valdemar House) and vanish, and then a detective is has to find her; the second one is in the 19th century, and explains the origin of the mansion, with flashbacks as he finds clues about what happened.

The second part is now in post-production. The first one is a VERY good Cthulhu movie.

I have to add Rough Magik, the best modern day cthulhu series never made  :'(. It is on no 2 of the hp lovecraft collection, Paul Darrow makes a nice investigator.
Such a shame it was never made as a series as the plot synopsis for the series was cool. >:(

I'll second that...

"Night of the Demon" rocks.....

It's a great old lovecraftian flick...I own it and have viewed it half a dozen times.

Check out my top ten list on the previous page.  I've got it listed #3.  Brilliant story, and fantastic movie.

There really hasn't been a movie that has fully rocked in Lovecraft land...

I agree with many of the above, Dagon was fun, The Call of Cthulhu was decent.

But, I REALLY hoping for good things with At The Mountain of Madness...we shall see!

Oh yeah, a couple more movies I'd add that I'd forgotten...in the vein

"She Creature"  a period piece well made...very aquatic lovecratian and well made bears rewatching too.

"Darkness"...very lovecraftian

"They" Night Terrors....

I often get it confused with "the Dark" which is also rather good with a Lovecraftian feel to it as well.

Halfway House...if you wanna try some B-movie soft porn lovecraft.

Phantoms...is also very Lovecraftish but I don't rate it highly besides it being well made.

:'(Speaking of which I ruined my one and only copy of "The Necronomicon" on DVD if any of you have this on DVD and are interested in a couple of the above named flicks on dvd please PM me.

I thought The Unnameable was quite good...
And The Unnameable II was a spin off of "The Statement of Randolph Carter"...

Another vote for "The Resurrected".

Dreams in the Witch House was worth watching...

Stay away from... "The Tomb" and "Chtulhu" with Tori Spelling... Bleech!

I don't know if I'd class either of these movies as being "good," but I definitely enjoy them immensely. I have fond memories of watching Unnameable II on "Joe Bob Briggs' Drive-in Theater"... good times.

They just don't make bad movies that are actually fun to watch any more.  :P

"They" Night Terrors....

I really liked that movie...it tends to get dire to average reviews though.
 :(

Though I've always been a fan of films with interesting ideas, even if the execution is a bit poor. I mean I had to be I grew up on late 80s and 90s one off random horror movies.
