Was a set done by Rafm, not bad but bit small( true 25mm)
Monolith do ( did) a range of Hellboy figures in 40mm, based on the books, not the film.
Got a full set last year, direct from manufacturer, via a couple of emails( think there might be a licencing issue! ;) )

Did a search back on LEF, and found this was used as the starting  place for a conversion:

as well as one that I've not tracked down for the boy Hellboy:

Hasslefree also do a figure called "Harby"

http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=980

which although inspired by Marv from Sin City, contains parts to convert it to a not-Hellboy. Might need a little bit of resculpting depending on how accurate to the books/films you want the end result. There's plenty of painted examples on the forum if you search for "Hellboy" in the Superhero or Future Wars sections.

EDIT: Ah, seems I posted at the same time as The Beast...

That one is also from Hasslefree - the White Metal range IIRC.....

EDIT: Which does not exist anymore, but here's the little bugger:

Cheers Beatie!  :D

@ andyfb: Not that I enjoy tooting my own horn, but I made some conversions for the Hellboy characters a while ago:

Might be of interest to you if you have a similar idea in mind.  ???

when Steve jackson released the Hellboy RPG they released also a couple of miniature boxes, one for heroes including hellboy
http://www.sjgames.com/miniatures/hellboy/heroes/hpainted.html
and one with villains
http://www.sjgames.com/miniatures/hellboy/villains/vpainted.html

i dont know if they are still available, probably not.

I'd say Hasslefree "Harby" figure is your best starting point for a conversion. Actually, thank to the "surprise" included in the package, half of the work is done.

I've got the Hellboy Heroes box set.  They are pretty tiny, much smaller than 28mm.  The figures themselves are pretty uninspiring too.

I agree, the Steve Jackson Hellboy miniatures are not great.  They basically look like the characters, but that's about it.

Liz Sherman looks like a dude.  With her coat and hat, she/he wouldn't make a bad pulp figure.

The first Heroclix Hellboy looks great when stripped and repainted, I am a huge Hellboy fan (I have him and several of his friends and enemies tattooed in a sleeve on my arm lol) and I am very happy with this mini once it was redone!
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

There were these vending machine toys that came out after the first movie. You can sometimes find them on E-bay

Heroclix has three different figures

The vending machine ones are slightly taller than the clix ones (which for Hellboy isn't that out of proportion).

If I think of it when I get home, I'll see if I can take a pic to compare it for you.
Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.
