The circus cannon they sell is pretty neat but really the only thing that makes it "circus" is the clown flying out the business end ;)

Darn!  :)  I hadn't read the NR rules by then - I actually brought a printout and read most of it in the evenings at Doomhippie's house.
I think 'and had my nose stuck in the rules' is closer to the truth! lol (men tak for sidste!)
Looking forwards to seeing this project getting under way. With all the NR action happening in Dk at the moment with both Thorbjørn and Jonas and now you, it looks like I might have to take a look myself.

Yeah, I played my first try-out game with pure infantry gangs 14 days ago.

I think the game needs some scenario-thinking, as gunfire is VERY deadly, and you need something to make the gangs want to stay on the move instead of digging in and slugging it out - but otherwise, mechanics are REALLY nice, and the rules pretty simple, yet flexible enough to allow almost anything. When I describe the game to others, I say it is for post-apoc what Rogue Trader used to be for Sci-Fi.

Now that sounds very high praise in my ears!

Well, I'm working on my own additions to the background to allow for aliens, bugs, hi-tech vault-dwellers, religious fanatics.... you name it. Everything can be tailored by imaginative use of the skill system ('it works the same way as....').

And I'm working on using all kinds of weird critters as wandering hazards (we had 4 Dungers in our test game, and I ended up losing, because a Dunger decapacitated my last standing character  lol  ). Dungers are going to have a template debilitating effect because of their smell (-1 Aptitude for characters within the range)....

Still the gold standard for homocidal clowns.  Earth-Clowns are just not wacky or killer enough.

This is my boomstick!

I didn't even KNOW that  lol

Maybe I should just go apply for a job at the Evil Empire - they might be able to use yet another un-original mind  :'(

BUT - I shall restrain myself, and use some of all these magnificent clowns to make a truly outstanding looking force to game with. Forget the Harlequins, and SEND IN THE CLOWNS!!!  lol

(And, btw, keep funny comments and mini suggestions coming - they fuel my resolve, and make me REALLY happy that I broke out of my gaming hibernation to come back here  :)  )

Yeah Killer Clowns is a great movie. Are you looking for just clowns or a whole circus group?

Stephen King-book made into a tv-series. It was accidently broadcasted really early about 15 years ago and traumatised a whole generation that still get the chills when asked about clowns under the bed ;)

If I say "Hey, remember It?" to my better half I have to sleep on the couch for a week...
