How many figures on a mortar base?
« on: June 14, 2010, 09:43:06 PM »
I'm making a 28mm mortar platoon (WWII German) and there are three figures per mortar.

For general wargaming purposes is there any problem putting all three guys on one base?  I like making a little vignette with some cover, basing, and so on.

(I'm a model builder and collector, not a gamer, so some common-sense things for all of you may not be so common for me  :) )

I guess it would depend on what kind of rules your using and how basing goes for that set.
Me I usually put light mortars on their own base and the crew on seperate ones (all 20mm round).
Heavier mortars I put one guy(usually the one dropping in the round) on the base with the mortar(50 or 60 mm round) then the other two on pennies so they can stand on the mortar base but be removed.
