That is a nice tidy desk! Very cool! Having a drawer that isn't clogged with bits and bobs saved for vague future projects is quite novel for me! Soon though, you will be like me and just get rid of all the computer stuff altogether and replace it with miniature painting stuff ;)

So, am I correct in assuming that the mangled black spider-like monster on the foam board there is Wilbur's brother? Looking forward to seeing that painted! Thanks for posting your workspace! Everyone else should post their workspaces as well!

Neldoreth - that's a damned neat bench sir!

My workbench is my window sill! I find that painting in daylight is the only way I get the results I want. I've tried daylight bulbs etc, but find there's no substitute for daylight. Unfortunately, this means I don't get to paint as often as I would like. So I go for quality over quantity!

Although I don't have a workbench as such, I do have a dedicated wargames room - howzat! (I know - it's boastful, but when I was a kid wargaming, I always swore I'd get myself a dedicated room one day, so when we moved house a few years ago, I had a ruddy great brick built double garage block constructed - mainly so I could put a games room above it! It took some explaining to the wife, I can tell you.   )

I would like to see you taking a vow not to clean it till next year's end. Then send us a before/after shot.

I don't need to do that - I usually only clean it up at the end of the year
When I think of the grand and NEAT workspace Prof had showed us in the cat pic....  8)

Me too but it will be a matter of days before it returns to it's "messy" state again  . I think it's impossible to keep your workspace clean because most times you can't continue on one project due to several reasons and then you take something new and new and so on.
But I don't mind the mess at all, I don't have a problem finding stuff in it and when I need room I just push something aside

By the way - the sprue sticking out on the left hand side is not mine, but is part of the wife's 'Cutty Sark' WIP. Ah well, slight disclaimer...

Here is the reason I get so little painting done of late...........

The total chaos is indicative of my life at the moment.....family of four and a neurotic wife (shhhh, don't tell her). New Year, new priorities. In theory the hobby box/room is becoming my young son's bedroom and I am moving 30 years of lead addiction into the attic bedroom..........watch this space!

Happy New Year!

Dave

Having seen other people work spaces I thought I might show my office.. The first picture is the door to it.

And this is the actual office as its called in my house.

Its no good for large models but my seat fits under the counter and I have internet access as well!!#

I've heard about some gamers being "in the closet" about their hobby, but isn't that taking it too far?
