Is great first sculpt.  let me give you some advice for the next one: Try to imagine the skeleton and muscles of the creature, see animal  anatomy pictures. A good anatomy is basic for a good  sculpture. Anyway is a really great firs work. ;)

Great work!

And a good idea to make the 'armature'. though I think you're fairly spot on with the shape of the legs, I second the advice of looking at drawings/photos of animals and their skeletons for reference

Did you use beads or cotton balls for the alien trees?
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

THose are actualy small foam balls painted and flocked with static grass.  Native to Venus in the game :)

Thanks :).

At first I thought it was pretty bad, but the more I look at it on my shelf, the more I'm liking it.  It looks really good next to my Solar Storm miniatures (the game I'm writing that I made the mini for, for a special scenario).

Do you really live in a place called Bonduel? I can't help thinking of canned maize/corn (Bonduelle)  ;)

Yep, Bonduel.

But that's funny, becasue every August we have the "Corn Roast" which is a sort fo festival where they grill thousands of cobs of corn...and it's free!

The whole town pretty much gets together to get drunk and eat a ton of grilled corn. :)

Fantastic...  lol

I'm not likely to show up, though... too far away, but it could be fun...

I wouldn't fancy being the bloke who cleans the public toilets after that lot's passed through!  lol

Sounds like my sort of festival though  :D

I love your sculpt. Wonderful attempt. It reminds me of some of the creatures from the Spore game for the PC. Keep up the good work and you will be top notch in no time.  :D
