Pulp and Eureka should be your firsts ports of call.

I think Pulp natives are more of a rainforest kind than islanders. I'll check the other websites. Thanks guys!  :)

No, the Pulp ones are Melanesians. Definitely islanders. Solomons, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, etc.

My mistake. I was thinking of Copplestones Botocudos and Tupis. (Have been awake all night with my newborn son, so all Indians are not on board the canoeo_o
The Pulp Melanesians looks fierce!  :)

Found both maoris and hawaiians at Eureka. Unfortunately, they looked a bit, I don´t know... "80´s".  :?

I think I'm going for the ones from Pulp! Thanks for your help!

I have the Eureka Hawaiians and they are great figures (the war canoe is fantastic!), but you can never go wrong with Pulp Figures!

They looked a bit "clumsy" and short on the pictures.  :? Do you have any painted Eureka Hawaiian to show me?  :)

My Hawaiians are still in my unpainted lead pile, sorry! Honestly I think they are not quite up to the "usual" Eureka standards, although better than they look in the photos on their site. Unless you really need war canoes you are probably better off with the Pulp offerings as I don't doubt they are the better figures.

Crunchwaffle also did a couple. Their Hula dancer is the only one I have and it was fairly nice.

i guess you meant 28 mm, but if you like 15mm you can have some wonderful Khurasan headcutter amazons!

Eureka have the Malay Dayaks, very fine pieces.

The Hawaiians and Maoris are by Mike Broadbent, they are an acquired taste I agree. They paint decently, they just look rough bare. They are also about 22mm eye height, so not so tall.
The Tupi are more cleanly sculpted and have 3 or 4 hairstyle variants and are abit taller at 24mm eye hieght. Here's a couple images of them bare

Some of the unarmoured Mayans may also be suitable
