Italeri North African House
« on: July 19, 2010, 01:51:33 AM »
Just came across this in my wanderings. If it's anything like their other terrain offerings I suspect it's going to be very popular. Can't wait to get one of these.

Nice looking building, maybe too small for 28s though.

Well their other buildings all work with 28mm and the doors/ gates look largeish so I don'tsee why this wouldn't work.

Would do for Far Harad stuff anyway on LOTR, the Pegasus Russian houses make great Rohan houses IMO :)

Hi,
I'd like to see some pic of those houses with 28mm minis, do you have any?

The Kapiti Fusiliers have an article on their website about one of the buildings here...http://www.fusiliers.net/wargaming30.htm and there is also an article about the Berlin House with photos next to 15mm, 20mm and 25/28mm figures here... http://wargames.nordalia.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=109&Itemid=64
hope it helps.

Thanks Fantail. Those are very interesting reviews. These buildings appear to scale in pretty well with 28mm figures. Which is good, because they're nice looking buildings and a heck of a lot cheaper than resin!

They look rather more in scale, I have to say, than the Perrys' allegedly 28mm clapboard ACW farmhouse - which looks miniscule with anything bigger than 20mm figures  ::)

We've used the pegasus Russian houses in our WW2 Norway games and they do scale up quite well with 28mm figs, just as these Italeri offerings do.

Thanks for the info, will have to invest in a set now.

This could be just what I'm looking for as a trading post/fort for my Darkest Africa Arabs  :D

The "Berlin House" in the link Fantail gave seems to be within acceptable limits for 28mm, so hopefully this wiil be too.

42.00 Euros is not exactly cheap, but certainly far better than resin and storage/transport would be much easier too.

Worth getting!

Did anyone eventually get one of these and can they post pics, so we in the colonies see how it looks?  :)
Cheers,
