SYW Demo game at Foundry's Open Day
« on: July 24, 2010, 10:11:52 AM »

The centre of the British lines at the outset of proceedings.

French infantry surge forward into the attack.

British infantry prepare to fire on the French.

The approaching French attack.

Massed French cavalry sweeps their British opponents from the field.

The locals soon here news of the British defeat.

All the figures used are from my collections of SYW by Foundry. The terrain and scenery were all provided by Wargames Foundry for the day. Rules used were the Crusader Publishing 'Rank & File'. Many thanks to Matt, Bernard, Ronnie, Keith and Kevin for their hospitality.

I saw these yesterday and your game looked absolutely beautiful. The photos don't do your miniatures justice, yankeepedlar.

That's very kind, Adam. I do admit, I'm no photographer.

Not really my period, but it's a fantastic display of wargaming goodness  :D

Painting all that braiding on the British coats would have driven me to drink  lol

Nice painting, quite a collection too!

It look like a fun game. How well did the Rank & File rules play?

They do what it says on the tin ~ fast, fierce, get a result, some nice period feel to them.

Lovely job. They look great ranked up like that.  :) I agree with GM too, don't know how people can stand to do all that braiding. You're a better man that I.
