Goblins
« on: 18 August 2010, 09:11:26 PM »
Hi there,
started a fantasy project recently - well, probably just another project I will never finish...  ::)

...anyway: here is the first bunch of minis I managed to complete. Some goblins. Want to use them in a miniature-oriented dungeon crawl game. Or a micro-skirmish game with a retro-style-rpg taste. Or may be I just needed a good excuse to buy these nice figures...

Cheers,
Hagen

Thanks for the hint! Eight goblins are indeed not enough - even for a micro skirmish. I have another hasslefree goblin archer yet to paint - and after that I will need more  :) . I'll check for the AA goblins...

:-* Lovely little guys! Great paintjobs and very nice and gobliny minis! Don't have any of these myself, how do they rack up with other 28mm minis? They look big, but that's probably because of a lack of reference. =)

:o They are truly fantastically well painted :-*
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Kev Adam's sculpts sounds perfect. I have to admit that I am quite new to the fantasy side of the mini hobby. So lots of treasures of the past yet to be discovered!

No, they just look big - standard goblin size I guess (I am not a goblin expert though  ;)). The bases are 2 euro cent pieces - if that helps. I'll try to post a comparsion pic tomorrow.

I've not been a great lover of your painting style on historicalish stuff Hagan, but it looks absolutely brilliant on fantasy figures  :-*

Good luck  ;)

I think I see what you mean. The painting style might be not so adequate for historicals sometimes. But I am more into non-historical stuff recently anyway  ;)

Oh, forgot to mention: all from Hasslefree except the second from left in the top picture. That is from Redbox Games.
