« on: 21 August 2010, 05:19:23 PM »
I have finished the second scrawny one. This lurker is taking his lunch, his eyes have gone blank because his is enjoying it.

Great paint job. Particularly like the eyes rolling back and the skin pattern on the shoulders and head.

Thank you!!

What colours did you use for the scrawny one? Very nice and muted.

I have used a mix of Vallejo Game Color (VGC) and Model Color(VMC) green paints. The base color es VGC Yellow Olive 064 and the highlight are with VMC Russian Uniform WWII 924, VMC Green Grey 886 and VGC Bonewhite 034.

Einar Olafson.

Where did you get the idea for the Scrawny one from? Is it a Lovecraft creation or some traditional legend...?

Einarolafson,

i think they are from ' The Scrawny One' by Anthony Boucher but have a feeling Lumley also included them in one of his stories.

I got (stole...) the idea from Anthony Boucher, that is correct. Lots of great old stories from Weird Tales and others occasionally were made available in anthologies. I devote way too much time rummaging through old book bins and second hand shops trying to find said anthologies.

Just read another great story the other night called 'The Jumpity-Jim', not sure of the author off hand but it will for sure make an apperance in Strange Aeons in the near future...
