Boss zombies
« on: August 21, 2010, 05:30:04 PM »
At last...

The journey here was tough but now my boss zombies are finally finished!
Blackstone nagged me ;) to begin painting them, so I had to let them skip that long, long line of miniatures to be painted.
Not that I was too hard to convince...

They've been a great painting experience up till that bitter end.

When everything was finished and I finally got around to varnishing them, it was to dark to take any photos.
While putting them back on the top shelf, the big armed zombie decided it was to bolt, diving straight to the floor!  :o
Of course the arm came of, since I didn't pin it...
So, back to the painting table, gluing the arm back and painting over my mistake.

Anyways, they're done now and I'm pleased with how they turned out:

Ahhh now I can see why you had trouble with the big arm  ;) It was sculpted to go in a different position but it looks good there. You need to invest in that pin vice though because I think that'll still be a weak joint!

Thanks guys!

It wasn't until I had attached the arm, that I noticed that your zombie had it attached in an angled position.
Personally, I like the reaching out position.
The mini isn't unstable because of this, as I positioned the mini at the back of its base.
The fall was all due to my clumsiness...

I'll probably buy the vice you sent me a link to. The price seemed fair.

Very true but U see the bird more as a spitter. One of the semi naked zombies only in pants is to be my witch I think :D
